Meet the Blue Crew – New Tips and Recipes Ahead!

Craving blueberries? Yeah, we’re here to encourage that. And, that’s why we’re hooking you up with even more blueberry goodness, courtesy of the Blue Crew, our new Blueberry Ambassadors! These four health and nutrition experts know all about good food that’s good for you. They appreciate the health benefits, versatility and great taste that blueberries bring to the table (literally). Their fresh and frozen blueberry-themed blog posts, videos and recipes will encourage a healthy lifestyle – and make your mouth water. Patricia Bannan, MS, RDN

Patricia Bannan MS RD_751x751Patricia is a nationally recognized registered dietitian nutritionist, healthy cooking expert and captivating communicator inspiring millions of people to eat and live well. She has conducted more than 1,000 media interviews over the last decade, as well as writing for and being interviewed by national print and online media. Patricia also is known for her work as a spokesperson to leading health-minded companies and organizations across the U.S.

Jessica Jones, MS, RDN, CDE

She provides hands-on nutrition education and counseling in weight management, pre-diabetes/diabetes, high cholesterol, hypertension, GI issues, wellness and vegan/vegetarian nutrition. With a B.A. in Journalism and a passion for using media as a tool to promote healthy lifestyles, Jessica has penned hundreds of articles about food, health and culture.

Wendy Lopez, MS, RDN

As a registered dietitian/nutritionist, Wendy (pictured left) is passionate about educating communities on plant-based eating, in ways that are accessible and culturally relevant. Working as a clinical dietitian in a community clinic in Port Chester, New York, she focuses on disease prevention and management. Wendy uses an integrative and individualized approach towards nutrition, health, and wellbeing. Throughout her journey, she has developed a great love for wholesome cooking.

Sonali Ruder, DO

After treating patients with chronic illnesses in the ER for many years, she developed an interest in the role that food and diet can play in preventing disease. Sonali’s goal is to empower people to take control of their health, starting in the kitchen. She is a contributing writer, recipe developer and health and wellness expert for several national magazines, cookbooks and websites.
