Recipe by Little Things By Julia
Holidays call for flavorful cocktails that can be sipped slowly and that’s just what you get with this blueberry bourbon sour. Combining the tartness of a traditional sour with warming notes of bourbon and dark brown sugar, the blueberries in this blueberry bourbon sour add a delicious sweetness and a festive, indigo hue.
- 1 cup blueberries
- ¼ cup dark brown sugar
- 3 ounces bourbon (optional)
- 4 ounces lemon juice
- ¼ cup water
- In a cocktail shaker, muddle the blueberries and sugar
- Add the bourbon (if desired), lemon juice, and ¼ cup water
- Shake vigorously, strain, and pour into two glasses filled with ice
Number of servings (yield): 2 Cocktails
For a mocktail version, skip the bourbon.
